What Does Being a Part of The Jim Allen Group Mean to You?
When I began working as an agent at CBHPW in 2013, JAG was already the leading team in the area and at the company. They consistently won awards, and Jim was, and still is, a larger-than-life icon in the industry. Larry Peele was always extremely helpful whenever I sought his advice, and all the agents at JAG were successful and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Fast forward 10 years, when I was transitioning from IT back to real estate full-time, there was only one place I wanted to go. If you want to be the best, you need to work with or for the best. JAG has the resources, knowledge, experience, and infrastructure to give an agent the best chance of success. Period. Although my role has changed from being an agent to Inside Sales Director, I love the fact that JAG allows me to work in the industry that I am passionate about, doing a job that allows me to help serve our agents and lets me utilize a vast array of my varied skillset.

If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I have pondered this question many times, especially years ago while I was covered in mud, out in the cold and rain, working as a pipefitter far away from home. I would sit and think about all of the guitars and amps I would buy, the concert venue I’d open, and the record label I’d start. I’d buy a huge mansion, fill it with music memorabilia and treasures, and just spend the rest of my days poolside kicking back and relaxing. These days, I’d donate a ton of money to the SPCA, and fund as many detox and rehab facilities as possible, my wife could be a stay-at-home mom, and my son’s college would be paid for. I’d still work at JAG even though I wouldn’t need to, I’m here to help the team, I’ve never been in it for the money anyway. Other than that, I’d spend most of my free time out on Lake Lure in the mountains trout fishing.
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
Unsure. I enjoy cooking so as long as I can find the ingredients, I’ll just make it myself with the exception of The Pit in downtown Raleigh. It’s really good, and I don’t have the patience to stay up all night to roast an entire pig.
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Complicated. Why? It’s complicated…

What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
I donate to the Wake County SPCA, Volunteer at the Wake County Food Bank on occasion, volunteer for Habitat for Humanity at least once a year. I’ve been heavily involved in working with substance abuse and mental health for over 15 years, donating funds and spending most of my free time volunteering with various organizations.
