The Jim Allen Group is the perfect blend of general brokerage real estate and new construction. This unique environment allows me to merge my 25 years helping buyers and sellers solve their real estate needs with my love of new construction working with award-winning custom and national builders. The team structure allows me to focus on selling real estate, while having support from our team of appraisers, marketing and social media professionals, handling the administrative work for listings, contracts, inspections and closings.

If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I love meeting new people so would travel the world to learn more about different cultures, climates and culinary experiences. So far I have visited Amsterdam, Holland, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Greece and India are at the top of my bucket list. I’ve visited several states and would love to see more by RV. I’d love to purchase an RV to wander and explore Route 66. The beach is my ultimate happy place for peace and relaxation, especially those with white sand and Tiffany blue waters! I typically vacation in Florida (Destin is my favorite) and the Caribbean islands. I enjoy a busy lifestyle and impactful work so would continue doing things that bring me peace and happiness.
What is Your Favorite Local Restaurant and Why?
I recommend everyone visit the Angus Barn, especially during Christmas time. and take a tour of the kitchen, wine cellar and their humidor room. I love lounging in the Wild Turkey always start off with their homemade cheese spreads and cheese straws, then savor every bite of their amazing filet with a smooth Merlot or Cabernet. And don’t forget the chocolate chess pie!

I volunteer annually at Habitat for Humanity. I am also a member of Carolina Cares where I donate and deliver food, clothes, home furnishings to struggling families. I love children and enjoy helping single and foster parents.
Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?
My daughter Madison is my world! She is 19 years old and recently relocated to PA to study Engineering at Lehigh University. My mom, sister, two nieces and nephew live in Fuquay Varina so I get to spend time with them often. I have several lifelong friendships from elementary school in Roanoke, VA where I grew up. Two of them relocated to Raleigh after graduating college and eventually talked me into moving here myself. These friends are more like sisters/family! I am a social butterfly and tend to make friends wherever I go. I don’t have any pets because of my busy real estate career and my love for traveling, but I adore golden retrievers and hope to have my own one day. Until then, I’ll continue dog-sitting to get my fix.
