Luis was born 4,713 miles away from the Triangle area. Moving to the USA from Spain was not an easy transition for Luis but proved to be his first taste of adversity. Being an immigrant taught Luis that work ethic is everything. If you want it, create it! Accomplishments are earned, not given. The sport of soccer quickly became a passion for Luis as he spent a significant amount of his time contributing to high profile teams in Northern New Jersey.
Injuries eventually interrupted his soccer career so Luis transitioned to college. While in college, he efficiently earned a bachelor and master’s degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. At the time Luis had one dream…to build skyscrapers.
Luis loved the challenge of improving property and quickly became aware that there was no better place for his skill set than real estate. With over 500 transactions to date, Luis has set his goals much higher than the skyscrapers he dreamed of as kid.
After college, Luis was invited to the management team that went on to complete many well-known construction projects including Yankee Stadium, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Crowne Plaza Hotel, AOL, Time Warner, Goldman Sachs, UBS, Merck and Microsoft. Luis learned many valuable lessons while administering a portfolio that totaled over $3 Billion dollars.
On a personal side, he coaches students interested in learning on real estate investments. He also holds speaking engagements throughout North Carolina and New York/New Jersey. On his spare time, he volunteers with Charities such as Meals on Wheels or Habitat For Humanity. He also recently created a non-profit organization, Solar4Hope to provide solar power to low income housing.
