North Carolina Realtor with Jim Allen Group | My focus is on building relationships and providing unparalleled customer service to my clients.
For Kali Muller, the desire to work within real estate began long before she joined the Jim Allen Group, and her previous role as an educator opened her eyes to what she really wanted to do: serve others by becoming a Realtor.
Kali grew up in northeast Iowa, and it was her degree, a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science Education and Studies from Iowa State University that led her to relocating to Raleigh as a student teacher. She opted to stay in Raleigh, working at Wake County’s Broughton High School for three years. As a home economics teacher, much of her teaching focus was within the realm of the home—including interior design and cooking—which seemed to be a natural extension of the real estate industry. The moment she decided to switch her careers, she never looked back.
“I read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear as I considered a career change,” she said. “It can be scary to change, but it gave me insight into how to change my habits. It taught me that if we know what we want and what our goals are, we can change or create habits and become more mindful of what we’re doing each and every day to achieve those goals. It helped me figure out what I wanted and how to achieve a growth mindset for a new career.”
She joined the Jim Allen Group in 2021 after recognizing the collaborative, team atmosphere the group offers and their position in the Triangle. “I like to be good at what I do,” she said. “I like to be challenged. I knew the moment I interviewed it was exactly where I wanted to be. The fact that they are the best really resonated with me.”
Kalie is driven to build strong relationships and strives to provide her clientele with exceptional customer service. While she is comfortable working with all clients looking to buy or sell, Kali believes she’s uniquely positioned to work with those relocating to Raleigh. “I saw Raleigh’s growth first-hand,” she said. “I understand the fears and hesitations people have when moving across the country, how there are different deciding factors when choosing where to move. This is a city people are excited about, and I have a great grasp of things as a former transplant myself. I’d be helpful for them.”
Kali is a member of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. She and her partner, Matt, adopted a Mini Sheepadoodle puppy, Finley, and also share a cat, Pam. She also loves to cook, and explained, “Meals are a great way to bring people together, express creativity, and relieve stress—plus eating good food is definitely a plus!” In addition to her undergraduate degree, she holds a Master’s degree in Education and Leadership from Concordia University Portland.
