Aleena Qureshi, The Connector
Aleena Qureshi is highly motivated by nature. Growing up as the middle child and only daughter in a family of entrepreneurs, she started working as a teenager and hasn’t stopped focusing on her future. It’s what led her to The Jim Allen Group, where she’s now concentrating on her role as a Realtor with the Triangle’s top real estate group.
“I’ve always had a strong drive,” she said. In addition to working within her family’s group of businesses, she began working at the age of 15 and even focused on graduating from high school and college early to get a jump start on her career. During that time, she saw her mother obtain a real estate license. Her mother began mentoring Aleena while she launched and grew her real estate career and specifically focused on new construction.
“Both sides of my family have been in real estate for generations,” Aleena further explained. Yet rather than set her sights immediately on real estate, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations from North Carolina State University first. “I’ve always been a communicator,” she said. That education parlayed seamlessly into the start of her career in real estate, where she said establishing a reputation and building and maintaining relationships is critical.
Aleena pursued her real estate license in 2020, and after obtaining her license in 2021, she spent a few months as an independent Realtor. She then joined The Jim Allen Group in 2022. “It’s the best decision I ever made,” she said. “The best thing about working here is knowing that you are in a place full of support, not only from Jim Allen, but from the Coldwell Banker HPW team.”
So far, she’s found success as a JAG Realtor. “You have to be a disciplined person to succeed in real estate. I truly believe you should make the most of what you have,” she said. She also credits The Jim Allen Group for what it brings to the Triangle, which is why it’s built a reputation as the Triangle’s top real estate group. “It really depends on who you work for in this market, and it really depends on your attitude and your work ethic. When something works, you don’t need to fix it.”
As Aleena continues to grow in her career as an agent, she said she’s finding happiness in what she’s doing. “I like real estate because you get to wear many hats. I learn something every day,” she said. Most importantly, she knows it’s helping people across the Triangle as they choose to make the area their home. “People just honestly need help, and that brings me joy. And it makes me want to keep doing this job.”
