Justin Davis pairs hard-nosed business savvy with a people-first mindset to move markets—and teams—forward. A native of eastern North Carolina, he came up through East Carolina University, where a dual focus on public policy and leadership propelled him to Student Body President and an ex-officio seat on the Board of Trustees. Those early wins set the tone for a career built on service, strategy, and straight-talk execution.

For more than a decade, Justin has guided brokerages and consultancies through aggressive growth, regularly pushing sales past the nine-figure mark. He drives revenue by blending data-driven coaching with iron-clad accountability, while keeping culture front and center. His toolkit runs deep—market analysis, M&A diligence, site selection, and brand storytelling—and he wields it to create durable value, not headlines.

A trusted advisor to owners, operators, and investors, Justin has earned recognition ranging from the College of Master Advocates and Barristers Public Service Medal to the honorary rank of Kentucky Colonel—proof that hard results and high integrity can (and should) coexist. Now sharpening his edge in UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Executive MBA program, he treats every class as R&D for tomorrow’s challenges.

Ask colleagues what sets him apart and you’ll hear the same refrain: he’s allergic to complacency, ruthless with inefficiency, and relentlessly upbeat about the next opportunity. Whether steering a $100 M sales engine, negotiating a complex land deal, or mentoring rising talent, Justin’s north star is simple—build sustainable growth that lifts everyone involved.

What Does Being a Part of The Jim Allen Group Mean to You?

John Maxwell, in “The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth,” advises us to surround ourselves with “…people with integrity. People who are positive. People who are ahead of us professionally. People who lift us up rather than knock us down. People who take the high road, never the low. And above all, people who are growing.” This insight is exactly why I chose to join The Jim Allen Group. We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with, and I want to be the best for my clients. Surrounding myself with the best in real estate is the natural choice.

How Long Have You Called North Carolina Home?

Born and raised!

If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?

Money serves its best purpose when used for good. To me, true freedom means being able to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want, and wherever I want. If money were no object, I would give generously, invest in experiences, and support future generations to build a better future.

What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?

McLean’s Ole Time Cafe (eastern Wake County). Best “country cooking” in the Triangle. Try the Cisco Chicken!

How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?

Persistent. I believe there is always a way…and I will find it!

Asheville or Wilmington?

Asheville during peak foliage season, Pine Knoll Shores in the summer 🙂

What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?

Member, East Carolina University Board of Visitors. My favorite focus of sitting on this Board is fundraising for “Access Scholarships” for first-generation college students who otherwise might not be able to attend college.

Homes for Heroes Agent Affiliate: Homes for Heroes is the largest nationwide network of affiliate real estate specialists committed to providing easy ways for heroes to save on a home. Shortly after 9/11, Homes for Heroes, Inc. was established to give back to firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, military (active, reserves & veterans), healthcare professionals and teachers for all they do.

United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). My father was a double transplant recipient. The gift of organ donation added many years to my dad’s life.

Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?

Family and friends are my foundation. As an only child by adoption, I recently connected with my biological family and discovered I have five siblings. Now, I’m fortunate to have not only an incredible adoptive family but also an extended network of loved ones to share life with. My friends challenge me, hold me accountable, celebrate my successes, endure tough times, and keep me grounded. I’m reminded every day to be thankful for the special people who have been providentially placed in my life.
