I immigrated from South Africa to the US 12 years ago and have been in NC from the beginning.
If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I love to travel and adventure with my family so I would continue ticking off the National Parks, cruising to the gorgeous Caribbean islands and of course visiting loved ones back home in South Africa.
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
I am a carnivore so I gravitate to steakhouses. Franko’s Italian Steakhouse in Franklinton is phenomenal and a definite favorite.
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Unstoppable – I don’t take no for an answer, and I’m very good at pivoting if needed.
Asheville or Wilmington?
Asheville for the beautiful scenery, hikes, waterfalls, Biltmore Estate, culture and food scene.
What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
My family volunteers at Celebration Church Food Pantry every other Saturday when we are available. We love to serve and give back to the community. My husband and I met while doing missions so that is a big part of our lives.
Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?
My family consists of my husband Max, my two kids, Sam (11) and Maddie (9), and, of course, my 130-lb fur baby, Teddy.
