If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I would spend most of my time with my kids, and spend the rest of my time helping people. I really care about helping other moms, because moms work so hard, they deserve a break!
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
Chuy’s. It’s got great margaritas, the food fills you up, and it’s got a nice little outdoor area you can enjoy the fresh air when it’s nice out. I recommend the shrimp tacos and the comida deluxe!
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Resilient – I’ve been through a lot in my life, and everytime I face an almost impossible challenge, I keep going. I’m a super positive person, and no matter what comes my way, I always try to see the good in everything.
Asheville or Wilmington?
Wilmington. I’m a beach person. I love the beach, the waves, and the salt air. It centers me and brings me peace.
What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
I love to help the homeless. I will keep little care packages in my home to hand out to people I see on the street. I usually carry toothbrushes and toothpaste, deoderant, money – anything that can help. I also want to help struggling moms who are always so busy with their kids that they never get any time to themselves.
Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?
My three kids, Jamirah, Ezekiel, and Aiyanna. I come from a small town in North Carolina, and I had to work hard to get to where I am today. I want to give them a foundation that sets them up for success, so they can have an even better life than mine.
