Kristina Sandine
Director of Brand CommunicationsWhat Does Being a Part of The Jim Allen Group Mean to You?
I like working at The Jim Allen Group because Jim empowers us to make the decision we need to in order to grow the company. I have been able to try new things in my role and have taken on projects that have been some of the most complex and difficult in my 25 year marketing career.
If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I would travel with my family. I would love to show my kids the world, eat great food, and experience new things as much as possible.
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
Just one? Irregardless has great food, drinks and music and is a staple in downtown dining. Fiction Kitchen is some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten, and Winston’s makes a solid martini.
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Tenacious – I don’t give up. Whatever it takes I am determined to make it happen. I am committed and loyal to the end.
Asheville or Wilmington?
Both. I like Asheville in the fall when the leaves are changing and in the summer when you can float down the French Broad. I’m not a fan of Wilmington, it’s too busy. I prefer OBX and I go annually. I love the quiet and being able to float in the sound and then run across the street and play in the ocean.
What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
I started a program called “Hoodies for the Homeless” and had drop-off points all over the Triangle to collect coats, sweaters, socks, gloves, etc and would frequent areas w/ the most people in need to hand out. My family frequently makes care packages, keeps them in the car and hands them out to those in need. We also like to make and handout brown bagged lunches in Moore Square. I became a licensed foster parent years ago and have helped many kids in need of emergency and temporary care.
