What Does Being a Part of The Jim Allen Group Mean to You?
JAG is like a big family…we support each other, cheer on each other, and even pray for each other. The knowledge and experience of the JAG team and Jim is unparalleled. There is always someone wiling to help.
How Long Have You Called North Carolina Home?
My whole life-born and raised in Raleigh! (I may have to keep my age a secret haha)
If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I would like to travel. Living by some kind of body of water (lake/ocean/sound) would be heavenly. I can be somewhat of a busy body, so would need some kind of hobby or fun, no stress job.
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
Hayes Barton Cafe & Dessertery is my all time favorite…its small and quaint! All of the food is AMAZING! I love everything there, but my favorites are the JANE RUSSELL“PERFECT PEAR” SALAD, “ANNIE GET YOUR GOAT!” SALAD, “AUDIE MURPHY PORK MEDALLIONS” and the DIAL “M” FOR MEATLOAF. The desserts there are PHENOMENAL too!!
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Hmm, I don’t know…my daughter said selfless, but that seems a bit excessive haha. I think we should all strive to be selfless, humble, kind, and just a good human.
Asheville or Wilmington?
Wilmington. I love sitting on the beach.
What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
I volunteer a lot at my daughter’s schools through PTA, being room mom every year, field trips, and other school functions. I also do a lot of volunteer work with my church…keep the nursery, help with Kairos (k-5th grades), chaperone/volunteer for youth events/functions/fundraisers/Mission Trips. My family sponsors another family and/or student every year through my daughter’s school. I just feel like giving back is the right thing to do. If I have the means, whether it is monetarily or just time, it brings me joy to help others and to be involved.
Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?
My husband Steve, two daughters, and dog Sam
