Before he fully dedicated his time to The Jim Allen Group, Russ spent several years selling apartments in senior living communities—a role that gave him a special appreciation for the complexities older adults face when upsizing, downsizing, or relocating. That background now informs the thoughtful approach he brings to seniors navigating homebuying or selling decisions, often guiding families through emotional and logistical challenges with patience and expertise. Russ’s professional journey includes personal experience that adds valuable depth to his client interactions. Having relocated several times himself while working in the corporate world—and buying and selling seven homes along the way—he knows firsthand how overwhelming and exciting the process can be. That practical insight fuels his drive to make real estate a smooth, informed experience for others. Combined with a BS in Nutrition, his academic background reflects a commitment to helping people live well, a principle that also shapes his service-oriented philosophy in real estate.

Originally from Ohio, Russ made his way south in 2000 when he moved to Greenville, North Carolina, ultimately settling in Wake Forest, where he and his family now enjoy life at the heart of the Triangle area. His connection to the community is more than just residential; it’s where he has built meaningful relationships with clients and contributed to the vibrant network of homeowners and future residents in the area.
