With the exception of a brief attempt at retirement, I’ve proudly been with The Jim Allen Group since 2009. My real estate journey began in Tennessee as a sales agent before I continued my career in North Carolina with Howard Perry and Walston. From there, I was fortunate to help establish and lead HPW’s New Homes Division, working closely with developers, builders, and onsite agents to market new home communities across the region.

In 1995, I took on the role of Managing Broker for HPW’s Falls of Neuse Road office—an incredible 25-year tenure focused on recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring agents. Along the way, I had the privilege of hiring both new and seasoned professionals, including teams like the Jim Allen Group, and hopefully contributed to their remarkable success stories. Real estate is complex and ever-evolving, and I believe true success only comes from an unwavering focus on doing what’s best for the client.

While I’ve been honored with numerous local and national awards throughout my career, the most rewarding part has always been the people—the families we’ve helped and the agents we’ve guided along the way.

I grew up in Raleigh, giving me a unique appreciation for everything that makes the Triangle such a desirable place to live. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Tennessee. People often ask how a Raleigh native ended up a Volunteer, and the answer is simple: my father, a die-hard NC State fan, insisted his daughters could go anywhere but Carolina! So off to Tennessee I went.

Today, my husband and I call the Village of Pinehurst home—America’s “Home of Golf.” When I’m not working with The Jim Allen Group in the Triangle, I’m usually on the golf course, determined to master the game (and finally getting the ball in the air after countless lessons!). My husband, happily retired, spends his days reading and writing—proof that life is best when you’re doing what you enjoy.

Whether mentoring agents or helping clients find the perfect home, I’m grateful for a career that’s brought me lifelong connections, professional fulfillment, and more than a few adventures along the way.
