How Long Have You Called North Carolina Home?
I was born and raised in North Carolina. I’ve never lived anywhere else.
If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
I would travel. I LOVE the south of France – I would start there and see Europe. I have three boys, one in college and two in high school, I would pay for a tutor and have them travel the world with me.
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
Margaux’s Restaurant – I love French cuisine. I can’t recommend it enough.
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious – It’s fun, and to me, it means I can do anything.
Asheville or Wilmington?
Wilmington. I don’t like driving in the mountains. I love the water and I love the ocean – the water calms me and gives me peace. It’s grace, beautiful, relaxing… Wilmington makes me think of the ocean and Asheville makes me think about driving in the mountains.
What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
When I was growing up, I said I wanted to be a philanthropist and a humanitarian. I care about homeless, hunger, children, and the elderly. Those are the things that tug on my heartstrings. I want to see real affordable housing, where everyone can afford owning a home, feeding themselves, and their family.
Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?
My boys, Samuel, Stephen, Landon, and Emmanuel – and my pitbull, Autumn.
