What Does Being a Part of The Jim Allen Group Mean to You?
I’m still pinching myself about how fortunate I was to land with this amazing team. Being surrounded by the best in the business helps me sharpen my skills. I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
How Long Have You Called North Carolina Home?
I have lived in NC most of my life. I attended ECU and graduated in 1994. I moved to Raleigh in 2000.
If You Had Unlimited Time and Resources, How Would You Spend Your Days?
When I was three years old, my family took a picture of me singing Elvis songs in a water hose. I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life, so I would probably spend my days enjoying music at a high level in some form or fashion. I say I’d kick back and relax, but that would be a lie. I love to work, and I love keeping busy. My bucket list trip would be to the British Isles: England, Ireland, and Scotland. I’m a Beatles and James Bond nerd, so a trip over there would be amazing.
What’s Your Favorite Local Restaurant?
I love Sullivan’s because I’m a steak guy. Margeaux’s is our special date night place because of the variety of the menu. Margeaux’s also has an awesome extra-dirty martini.
How Would You Describe Yourself in One Word, and Why?
Sarcastic…because Why Not?
Asheville or Wilmington?
How about Blowing Rock and Ocracoke instead? I got married in Ocracoke, so it’s a special place for us. There, I was able to provide my wife with the greatest day of her life. 😊
What Causes/Charities Do You Care About?
CDH International. A Wake Forest-based charity surrounding a birth defect that doesn’t get enough attention or research funding.
Who are the People (and Pets) that Keep You Motivated?
I have been married to my wife Pam since 2006. Fortunately, I caught her in a momentary lapse of good judgment, and 18 years later, she hasn’t smothered me in my sleep…yet. We have two boys, Grant, 14, and Drew, 9. So, we spend much of our time as professional chauffeurs. We have a poodle named Chewey and a bichon/cavalier mix named Dolly that I call “Crackhead.”
