Located just nine miles from Downtown Raleigh, Knightdale is an eclectic town that continues to add amenities that attract new residents. According to the U.S Census Bureau, the population of Knightdale is 19,576, which has doubled in the last fifteen years. For those seeking a growing town with plenty of dining, shopping, and excellent proximity to downtown, Knightdale is the perfect place. 

Things To Do in Knightdale, NC

Home of Knightdale Station Park and numerous parks and trails, this town is filled with places to visit if you enjoy staying active. Knightdale is home to quite a few new eateries like Oak City Brewing Company, where you can enjoy a cold brew and local food trucks. Oak City Brewing is located in downtown Knightdale and offers a wide open green area for kids, dogs, and adults who want to enjoy the outdoors. If you are in the mood for some fantastic barbecue, try visiting Prime Barbecue, owned by Award-winning pitmaster Christopher Prieto. Prime BBQ is so delicious; the restaurant sells out of BBQ daily! Craften Food Hall is one of Knightdale’s latest additions to the food scene. You will find several dining and drink options at Craften, including The Corner Venezuelan, Poblanos Taqueria, Fiori Pizzeria, and Finca Burger. 

The Knightdale Farmers Market is also a great place to visit if you want to indulge in Knightdale’s culture with local vendors, entertainment, and a variety of activities for all to enjoy. The Farmers Market is located at Knightdale Station Park and is open every second Saturday from April through October.

Knightdale also has an array of annual events that residents and visitors look forward to each year. Food truck Thursdays happen weekly at Knightdale Station Park for people to enjoy outdoor lunch and dinner with live music; check it out on the third Thursday of each month. There is also a holiday fair in Mid-November each year at the Knightdale Recreation Center, where local vendors sell gift options for Christmas and an assortment of other goods and services.
