Morrisville is a quickly expanding suburb, located in the northwest area of the Raleigh-Durham metro area. In 2021, Morrisville was ranked by Niche as the Best Place to Live In North Carolina. Its close proximity to the Research Triangle Park campus, top-rated schools, and endless things to do are all reasons why many people choose to call Morrisville home.

Morrisville borders Durham, very close to the Research Triangle Park, which makes the town a very short commute for many workers in the area. This is a huge benefit in the Raleigh Durham area, considering the congestion and traffic that occurs in the morning and during rush hour. Morrisville is also the home to the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Morrisville is easily accessible from I-540, and conveniently close to Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke University. Residents are also close to the top area hospitals, including WakeMed, Duke and UNC.

The schools in Morrisville are some of the top performing in the entire Triangle region and the state of North Carolina. High-performing elementary schools include Sterling Montessori Academy, Morrisville Elementary, and Cedar Fork Elementary, which are consistently rated as the best in both the Raleigh-Durham area and the entire state, according to sites like GreatSchools.org and Niche.com. Morrisville shares middle schools and high schools with neighboring Cary, which are also rated very highly year after year.

Morrisville has no shortage of amenities and activities for residents of all ages. One unique activity for the entire family is visiting the RDU Observation Park, with a 10,000 foot runway for plane watching and listening to communications between the pilots and air traffic control. Lake Crabtree County Park is a great spot for a stroll, as the park is home to a 6-mile loop around Lake Crabtree, along with volleyball courts, picnic areas and boat launches for kayaks and paddleboards. For an amazing shopping experience, visit  Park West Village. This 100-acre mixed-use development includes highly sought-after major retailers, upscale restaurants, boutique stores, fitness studios, and a movie theater.  The town also hosts various festivals throughout the year, such as the East Meets West Festival, which celebrates food and cultures from around the world.

For anyone looking to make a move to the Triangle, or within the Triangle, Morrisville is a great option for anyone looking for a community that is conveniently located, has great schools, and also has plenty of things to do.
