The Jim Allen Group is the Presenting Sponsor for The 16th Annual Gobbler’s Run

The JAG Team

The Jim Allen Group is proudly sponsoring the Annual Gobbler’s Run 5K Race for the 8th consecutive year. The race begins promptly at 8:00 am on Thanksgiving morning and the starting line is located on Wingate Street adjacent to the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club facility.

The Gobbler’s Run is a Thanksgiving Day tradition for many residents of the Wake Forest area and beyond. With over 1,000 runners registered as of November 5, and only 2000 registrations available, time is running out to strut your stuff for a great cause. The proceeds of the Annual Gobbler’s Run benefits over 1,000 children through the Wake Forest Boys and Girls Club. The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe and enriching environment for local youth to learn, grow, and reach their full potential through after-school programs, summer camps, and a wide variety of activities and sporting events. To assure that this positive atmosphere is highly accessible to the community, the programs are a fraction of the cost of what other facilities charge, as well as offering tuition assistance. This organization has been serving over 200 kids daily since 1986.

The Gobbler’s Run was started by Cat Redd and Km Fordham, and annually generates about $500,000 in donations. This year’s race is capped at 2,000 participants, with spots filling up quickly. This family-friendly race is completed by runners and non-runners alike, and the costumes are as much a part of the festivities as the race itself. The Jim Allen Group has sponsored the race for the past several years. Giving back to the community we serve is extremely important to our team of real estate professionals. We are so thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community alongside the Gobbler’s Run team and the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club.
