The Pantone Color of the Year is a highly anticipated discussion every year that often guides how graphic and interior designers, product developers, and creators get inspired for the year. And 2024 is no different after Pantone announced their choice for the year.
Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2024 is Peach Fuzz, a gentle, velvety peach chosen because of its warmth and a name that elicits a tactile sense of comfort the Pantone team wanted people to feel this year. “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance — a shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “
Peach Fuzz was chosen to help bring quiet and a sense of calm into your world. And what better place to embrace it than within your home? If you’re interested in bringing hints of this soothing hue into your home, we’ve got some ideas for how to do it.
Start with some curb appeal
Bring a little romance to the outside of your home by planting fresh peachy florals outside of your home. Feathery labyrinth dahlias are large, peachy flowers that bloom through the summer and into fall. The peach abbot rhododendron flower grows in dense, multi-stemmed flowers and are beautiful alongside fences. Snapdragons, zinnias, and calendula are wonderful flowers that will grow in any full-sun garden. You can also consider planting flowering trees and shrubs for pops of color, such as a little quick fire hydrangea, the double-take peach flowering quince, or lady of shallot rose.

You could also fill outdoor pots with begonias, strawflowers, and diascia. The Mandevilla sun parasol giant is a beautiful peach flower that can be trained to climb a trellis. If you’re thinking beyond flowers alone, start looking for rugs and pillows with this color to accent your outdoor furniture, or go brave and paint your front door a pretty peach for some freshness.
Add a pop of color
Ready for a refresh on your walls? It’s easy to add a pop of color to a room using Peach Fuzz as your inspiration. Sherwin Williams has insights into how this peaceful orange color can work in any home, whether it’s a living room, bathroom, bedroom, or even the exterior of your home. The paint company also provides coordinating colors to help your space look its best.
If you’re uncertain about committing to this color with paint, there are other ways you can play with it in your home. In fact, Pantone developed a selection of palettes — including muted, bold, and a plethora of peach — that can inspire you to use other colors that marry well with Peach Fuzz. To add simple, subtle hints of this orange, look for it in design elements like a modern lamp, vases, throw pillows, or even a traditional couch. You can also bring this peach in with bedding in your room or even glassware within your kitchen. Or, consider creating a calming reading nook using peach planter filled with a monstera or snake plant next to your favorite chair.
Bring peachy artwork into your home
One of the simplest ways to bring Peach Fuzz into your home is with artwork that can enhance your walls, even if your walls are a bit more muted. Affordable artwork with hints of peach is readily available from sites like Wayfair and Etsy. You can even find modern designs that feature abstract designs in shades of pinks and peach.
You could also be more literal with your artwork and use peaches as your inspiration. From watercolor peaches to retro artwork to art prints to botanical posters, peaches — the actual fruit — can bring a fun yet playful flavor to your home. This type of artwork will go beautifully in any room of your home, whether it’s a bathroom, hallway, kitchen, bedroom, or living area. And it will go a long way toward adding tranquility to your home.
Look for ways to add Pantone-approved texture and detail
