Zebulon

Zebulon is a gem waiting to be discovered. It is often called the “Town of Friendly People” because it perfectly blends small-town charm and modern growth. Established in 1907, the town was named after Zebulon B. Vance. It has a rich history, diverse culture, and strong community spirit. Whether you are interested in its beautiful parks, local businesses, or friendly residents, Zebulon welcomes you with open arms. Tradition and innovation come together to create a unique and inviting atmosphere.

History

Zebulon was established in 1907 due to the Raleigh and Pamlico Sound Railroad investors’ ambitions to create a path through North Carolina’s eastern terrain. The railroad, which started in Raleigh and extended towards Wilson, defines Zebulon’s geographical location and future growth and development. This critical moment in Zebulon’s history is evidence of the town’s origins, deeply rooted in the early 20th century’s expansion of trade and transportation networks.

Things to Do

Zebulon offers many exciting activities for both visitors and residents throughout the year. Baseball fans can visit Five County Stadium during spring and summer to cheer on the Carolina Mudcats. Art enthusiasts can explore the Zebulon Town Hall, a beautiful century-old building that showcases the work of local artists and offers a glimpse into the area’s creative talent. Golfers can enjoy a challenging yet enjoyable experience at the Zebulon Country Club, which features 18 holes and welcomes players of most skill levels.
