Zebulon

Zebulon was established in 1907 due to the Raleigh and Pamlico Sound Railroad investors’ ambitions to create a path through North Carolina’s eastern terrain. The railroad, which started in Raleigh and extended towards Wilson, defines Zebulon’s geographical location and future growth and development. This critical moment in Zebulon’s history is evidence of the town’s origins, deeply rooted in the early 20th century’s expansion of trade and transportation networks.
