For over 35 years, the Triangle Sales and Marketing Council (TSMC) has hosted the annual Major Achievements in Marketing and Excellence (MAME) Awards event to showcase the work of local builders. Often touted as the “Academy Awards of new homes sales and marketing,” this event is always a showcase of the phenomenal work that’s being done in the Triangle. The TSMC encompasses the Homebuilders Associations of Raleigh-Wake County and Durham, Orange, & Chatham Counties, making it a truly collaborative event that recognizes the entire Triangle region.

As the name suggests, MAME honors major achievements by local builders. It encompasses 45 categories, spanning from advertising and merchandising to product design and even sales efforts. At the event held on Friday, May 3, 2025, The Jim Allen Group took home 12 awards.

JAG earned several awards for the campaign its Marketing team developed with its advertising agency, Able & Co., for the 2024 Triangle Parade of Homes. JAG’s Game of Life campaign was a play on Hasbro’s Game of Life, where unexpected choices lead to choices that can influence major life decisions. JAG’s Game of Life themed campaign showcased how big moments like purchasing a new home can be made easier with the right agents and resources.

JAG earned the following awards for its Game of Life work:

·      Best Special Promotion – Game of Life | Parade of Homes

·      Best Graphic Continuity – Game of Life | Parade of Homes

·      Best Print Ad – Game of Life | Parade of Homes

·      Best Social Media Campaign – Game of Life | Parade of Homes

·      Best Digital Marketing – Game of Life | Parade of Homes

·      Best Signage – Game of Life | Parade of Homes

The Marketing team also received the Best of the Best Overall award for marketing efforts in 2023.

In addition, JAG earned an award for Best Rich Media for work with Awedience Media Displays. JAG also earned the honor of Top Producer Mega Team for New Home Sales. The team closed out 2023 with $510,145,941 in new home sales with 653 units sold.

JAG earned a Best Custom Home Award for AR Homes Monterey Bay’s Stanford plan, which was a Parade Home entry that earned a Bronze award. This $3,730,000 home, located in Northridge Country Club, features 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and 6,659 square feet that includes stunning views of the 6th green.

Dan Clem, director of marketing for The Jim Allen Group, was named Marketing Director of the Year. Jim Allen, the president and founder of The Jim Allen Group, was honored with the Leadership Award from the TSMC. This honor illustrates the importance of great leadership and reminds us that it takes excellent leaders to remain a highly productive team.

MAME is recognized not only within the homebuilding industry within the Triangle but also as part of a larger organization. MAME mirrors the awards event from the National Sales and Marketing Council, which is part of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Entries into MAME are entered into the NAHB’s awards, known as “The Nationals,” which will continue to showcase the Triangle’s incredible work to the rest of the United States.
