The Triangle-area Parade of Homes takes center stage this October

This October, hundreds of new homes across the region will open their doors for one of North Carolina’s most anticipated home events. The 2026 Triangle and Franklin County Parade of Homes returns for three weekends — Oct. 3 and 4, Oct. 9 through 11, and Oct. 16 through 18, inviting visitors to tour homes from noon to 5 p.m. each day.

According to Jill Sullivan Weaver, director of communications for the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County, this year’s event promises to be especially exciting.

“This year is the largest Triangle Parade of Homes since 2008,” she said, adding that the Triangle Parade of Homes is the largest Open House in the state.

And with more than 300 homes from over 90 builders, Parade provides opportunities to see new trends, explore a variety of homes, and discover builders across the Triangle.

The Triangle and Franklin County Parade of Homes gives homebuyers, design enthusiasts, and anyone who loves exploring new homes a front-row look at what’s new in Triangle real estate.

Sullivan Weaver said homes range in price from approximately $325,000 to more than $9 million, creating an opportunity to explore an extraordinary variety of architectural styles, floor plans, neighborhoods, and design ideas. Whether you are actively searching for a new home or simply gathering inspiration for the future, the Parade offers a rare chance to experience so many possibilities in one event.

In addition, Sullivan Weaver said more than 190 communities will feature at least one Parade home this year. The event spans 10 counties — Wake, Alamance, Granville, Franklin, Johnston, Lee, Harnett, Durham, Chatham and Orange — and reaches 30 cities and towns throughout the region.

Visitors can explore homes in Angier, Apex, Benson, Carrboro, Cary, Chapel Hill, Clayton, Durham, Four Oaks, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Hillsborough, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Lillington, Louisburg, Mebane, New Hill, Pittsboro, Raleigh, Rolesville, Sanford, Selma, Siler City, Wake Forest, Wendell, Willow Spring, Youngsville, and Zebulon.

The size and reach of the Parade make it possible to experience both well-established destinations and growing communities throughout the greater Triangle area during its three weekends.

As part of this year’s larger Parade of Homes experience, The Jim Allen Group is rolling out the red carpet for JAG Premiere Weekends.

JAG Premiere Weekends is a curated experience that will guide visitors to a featured collection of JAG homes participating in the 2026 Triangle and Franklin County Parade of Homes events. The JAG event is your ticket to some of the season’s most exciting new-home premieres, complete with standout settings, memorable interiors, and plenty of reasons to keep touring.

According to Kristina Sandine, Director of Marketing Strategy & Operations at The Jim Allen Group, crafting a seamless event experience is all about helping buyers navigate the sheer scale of the Parade. She notes that combining interactive features with clear guidance helps visitors turn a massive event into a fun, personalized journey where they can easily explore top-tier homes and discover new design ideas.

Visitors can also download the official JAG Parade App to help map out their routes, check in at participating homes, participate in interactive activities, and cast votes for their favorite designs.

JAG Premiere Weekends will add even more excitement to the Parade experience with $1,250 in prizes awarded daily, weekly giveaways, a grand prize, and more chances to win as you tour participating JAG homes.

Guests using the app will be invited to cast their votes for the JAG People’s Choice Award to help recognize the home that delivers the ultimate showstopping performance.
